  • Teach a patient/client to build awareness of their thinking, emotions, and behaviour through psychoeducation, goal setting, mindfulness, and physical sensation
  • Challenge a patient/client to reach flexible thinking within their thought records
  • Teach patients/clients to analyze their behaviour and consequences to discover appropriate opposite actions which can produce positive outcomes
  • Integrate exposure therapy exercises with all conversations during CBT so that a patient/client can practice positive reactions and behaviour
